Gary Michael Scott, 70, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. A native of Spartanburg, he was born on December 17, 1952, a son of the late Joe Baber and Evelyn Palmer Scott.

He was a long-distance truck driver having worked with Kohler Company and Benore Trucking Company. He loved playing pool, building cue sticks and was a member of the American Pool Players Association.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Ollis Scott; daughter, Amanda Scott (Dawn); son, Ryan Scott (Justin); brothers, Glenn Scott (Terri), Larry Scott (Ann); sister, Lynn S. Ferguson (Paul); grandson, Elijah Scott and his four-legged Huskey “Bear”.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
