Gary Lasso

Gary R. Lasso, 59, of 674 Cothran Creek Road, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 5, 1951 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Irene Lasso. He was formerly employed with Phoenix Finishing in Gaffney and Springs Industries in Lyman. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Keisha Thornton and husband Jason and their two sons, Hunter and Justin Thornton, of Pauline; a cousin, Diane Loperfido of Brooklyn, NY; and two lifelong friends, Steve Henline of Inman and Bill Powell of Augusta, GA. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 23, 2010 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to St. Christopher Episcopal Church, Kidney Patient Assistance, 400 Dupre Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29302. The family is at the home of his daughter.
