Gail Marie Wilson Eaker, 73, of 15 Touch-Me-Not Trail, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Smith-Phayer Hospice House in Landrum. Born January 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Leroy and Ruby Berry Fowler Wilson. She was formerly a teacher of the hearing impaired in South Carolina and Georgia. Survivors include her husband, Taft H. Eaker, Sr. of Landrum; a son, Taft Eaker, Jr. and his wife, Dawn, and their daughters, Summer and Ruby Eaker, all of Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Hayes and the Rev. Dr. Cary Hedgepeth. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smith-Phayer Hospice House, 200 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, SC 29356. The family is at the home.
