G. Fulton Tate, 85, of 400 Webber Road, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 27, 1926, in Pacolet, SC, he was a son of the late Walter G. and Cleo Sutton Tate. Mr. Tate was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and the Melvin Parker Co-ed Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife Patricia "Pat" Tate; a son, Gregg Tate and wife Kay of Roettenbach, Germany; a daughter, Lori Moore and husband Rusty of Spartanburg; four grandsons, Patrick and Ethan Moore of Spartanburg, Frank Fox of Goose Creek, SC, and Dr. Ken Fox of Charlotte, NC; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Carroll Tate. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM on Monday, July 11, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone, the Rev. Bill Adams, and the Rev. Norman Band.
