Freida Wofford

Freida Gail Thomas Wofford, 70, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 1, 1950, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Howard Thomas and Eloise Fowler Thomas. She was the wife of 50 years to the late Richard "Ricky" J. Wofford whom she married on May 4, 1968. Survivors include her daughters, Kim Gosa (Tony) of Boiling Springs, SC and Dena Bishop of Union, SC; grandchildren, Matthew Gosa (Brennen) and Mark Gosa, all of Boiling Springs, SC, Brandon Wofford of Pauline, SC, Kelli Piercy of Union, SC, Tyler Wofford (Daphne) of Roebuck, SC, and Brittany Piercy of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Charley Gosa of Boiling Springs SC; Kam and Kenzi Wofford of the home, Isabelle, Addalyn, and Marley Wofford of Roebuck, SC, and Kalen Piercy of Union, SC; and a beloved nephew, Robert H. Thomas of Georgia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Brian Wofford; and brother, Robert L. Thomas. A memorial service may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family will be at the home.
