Freida Gentry

Freida Keller Gentry, 80, of Spartanburg SC, spread her wings and went to Heaven, Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Born December 12, 1940 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jess W. Keller and Opal Keller. She was a member of Cannon's Camp Ground United Methodist Church. A 1959 graduate of Cowpens High School, Freida attended Cecil's Business College and worked/retired from Parker Hannifen Corporation. She made the best chocolate oatmeal cookies that she shared with her family and friends. Freida loved to dance, bowl, playing cards with her children and enjoyed playing on the computer connecting with friends and family. She would pray each night calling EVERY family member by name, taking two hours, falling asleep and waking back up to continue praying for the rest of her family. Beverly and Wayne heard this each night over the baby monitor while she was living with them. Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Varner (Wayne); granddog, Ladygirl; brother, Darwin W. Keller (Mary); sister-in-law, Sandra Keller and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Metz Keller and sister, Yevette McAmish. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. David F. Ervin. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
