Fredericka Wilson

Fredericka Readen Wilson, 96, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, February 5, 2021 at Rosecrest Retirement Home. Born in Charleston, SC on August 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Fred Readen and Christina Claussen Readen and wife of the late Jesse Myles Wilson Sr. A graduate of St. Andrews Parrish High School and The University of South Carolina, Mrs. Wilson was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Garden Clubs, and the PTA over the years. Survivors include her daughter, Johanna M. Wilson of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Katherine Marie Pollock of West Columbia, SC; brother, Thomas Readen, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Peach Wilson of Spartanburg, SC. She was predeceased by a son, Jesse Myles Wilson Jr.; sisters, Bertha R. Schwarz, Mary Readen, Marie Readen, Ruth Readen, and Dorothea Readen, and brother, Frederick Readen. Private graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
