Franklin Lark

Franklin "Frank" Delano Lark, 78, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at his home. Born November 20, 1933, in Spartanburg, he was the husband of the late Harriette Elizabeth Davis Lark and son of the late Charles H. and Sarah Beacham Lark. A U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Lark was a member of Southside Baptist Church since 1944 and store manager for Thomas and Sons Formal Wear for 46 years. Surviving are his son, Jonathan M. Lark of Lyman, SC; daughter, Lynda Martens of Valley Springs, CA; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Wood of Moore, SC; and special friend, Margaret Gibbs of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 12:00 noon - 1:45 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Southside Baptist Church. Funeral services will at 2:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. David Blanton, the Rev. James Nugent, and the Rev. Schuyler Peterson. Burial with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
