Franklin Coy Dodson, 73, of Inman, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 18, 1936 in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Claude and Essie Pilgrim Dodson. He was retired from Celanese previously called Fiber Industries, a member of Praters Creek Baptist Church, and enjoyed golf, gardening, fishing, and being outdoors. In addition to his wife of 55 years, Annie Chapman Dodson, survivors include three sons, Mike (Susan) Dodson, Don (Rhonda) Dodson, Chris (Marcia) Dodson; two brothers, Hovey (Elizabeth) Dodson and Keith Dodson; two granddaughters, Cheryl Dodson (Jason) Walls and Stephanie Dodson (Brannon) Bridges; and a great-grandson, Cameron Walls. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and R.G. Dodson, and a sister, Floree Holden. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 P.M. Monday, November 22, 2010 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC.
