Frank Malone

Frank Ray Malone, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born September 13, 1932, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Fred Ray and Grace White Malone. A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Malone was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Robinson Business School and attended Wofford College. He was the retired owner of McDowell's Restaurant. He was also a member of American Legion Post #28 and a member and deacon at Drayton Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jean O'Shields Malone; daughter, Janet Hall (Barry) of DeBary, FL; and sister, Dorothy M. Beer (Frank) of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Tim Malone and an infant son; and brothers, Joe Malone and Tom Malone. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service, with military rites by American Legion Post #28 Honors Team, will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 16, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev.
