Frank Helms Sr

Frank Ronald Helms Sr., 81, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, January 29, 2021 at his home. Born January 26, 1940 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late John Thomas Helms and Geneva Blue Helms and husband of the late Marian Horton Helms. Mr. Helms a member of Salvation Army Church, was retired from Firestone Steele Manufacturing. He loved his wife, helping people, fishing, Waffle House coffee, and wrestling. Survivors include his children, Joshua Helms (Jaymi Sargent), Joseph Helms (Adrian), and Sabrina Waldrop (Tony) all of Spartanburg, SC; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by 11 siblings. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2021 at Salvation Army Church, 40 Foster Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Salvation Army Church, conducted by Captain Johnny Horton and retired Major Grady Pearson. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
