Frank Pinson Gregory, Jr.

Frank P. Gregory, Jr. 83, of Spartanburg, died Monday, February 12, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. A native of Columbia, SC, he spent his youth in West Columbia and Cayce. He was born on September 3, 1940, a son of the late Frank Pinson and Lila Mae Miles Gregory.

He graduated from Brooklyn-Cayce High School lettering in four sports and graduated from Palmer College. He retired after 30 years of service at the SC Department of Revenue.  Frank was a member of First Baptist of Spartanburg for 60 years and served on many committees and as a Deacon. He was a Sertoman for over fifty years and currently a member of the Executive Sertoma Club.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Wray Goins Gregory; his son, Mark Gregory (Cindy), daughter, Paige Shill (Clay); five grandchildren, Courtney Lehr, Cameron Stober (Haley), Emily Francis (Colin), Greg Shill (Murphy) and Madison Davis (Ryan) and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Randolph W. Gregory.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am Friday, February 16, 2024, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
