Frances Thompson Riddle, 68, of Glendale, SC, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 14, 1948, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Vic and Lucille Coleman Thompson. Mrs. Riddle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a terrific cook and a friend to all. Frances donated her eyes to help two others to see. Amen! Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Thad Riddle of the home; sons, James Taylor (Karen) of Boiling Springs, NC, William Taylor (Misty) of Pacolet, SC and Floyd Taylor (Penny) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Melodie Riddle of Fingerville, SC; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Kathleen Linder of Glendale, SC, Dorothy Fowler of Gaffney, SC, Brenda Poole of Glendale, SC, and Mary Justice of Holly Springs, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Judy Miller and Linda Ann Riddle. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Jimmy Powell.
