Frances Hyatt

Frances Harrison Hyatt, 89, of Startex, SC, died Monday, August 8, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC. Born June 28, 1927, in Walnut Grove, SC, she was the daughter of the late Frank T. and Levie Williams Harrison, and wife of the late Carl Billy Hyatt. A Roebuck High School graduate, Mrs. Hyatt was a retired clerk of the Startex Mill Store. She was a member of Lyman United Methodist Church and a former member of the Startex United Methodist Church where she was a chairman of the Compassion Committee, and member of the choir and Startex Retirees Club. Survivors include her sons, Randy Hyatt (Cindy) of Spartanburg, SC, and Frank Hyatt (Debbie) of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Stefanie Hyatt Kirkland (David) of Inman, SC, Jake Ravan (Lauren) of Lyman, SC, and Will Hyatt of Moore, SC; great-granddaughter, Bella Grace, numerous nieces and nephews including Jane Payne (Vernon) and Angie Foster (Glenn) and extended family Pam and Mollie Wheeler, Bee Jay and Jennifer Wheeler and children. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Puette, Marguerite Tolbert, Geneva Rhodes, Vennie Harrison and Leita Belle Bishop and brothers, Manning Harrison, J. B. Harrison, Leon Harrison, and Wick Harrison. Visitation will be 2:30-3:30 PM Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Lyman United Methodist Church, with funeral services following at 4:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Brian Gilmer, the Rev. Ron Towery and the Rev. Dr. Rodney Powell. Burial will be in Wood Memorial Park, 863 Gap Creek Rd., Greer, SC 29651. Memorials may be made to Lyman United Methodist Church, 106 Groce Rd., Lyman, SC 29365.
