Frances Howell

Frances Fowler Howell, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, November 2, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 7, 1922 in Spartanburg, She was the daughter of the late Bulford and Vannie Mae Harden Branch and wife of the late James Fletcher Howell. She was first married to the late Lewis Alonzo Fowler. Mrs. Howell was a member of Hammett Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Reggie F. Fowler, Steve E. (Jennie) Fowler all of Spartanburg, and Donnie L. (Drenda) Fowler of Greer; stepdaughter, Arna (Charles) Hardin of Camp Croft; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Howell was predeceased by a daughter, Delores Fowler and a granddaughter, Dena V. Fowler. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 PM Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Fred S. Quidley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
