Frances Webb Bumpass Henricksen Hines, 97, of Spartanburg, formerly of Cedar Springs, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills-Landrum. Born April 30, 1914, in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Martha Pleasant Bumpass. She was predeceased by her first husband, Oscar T. Henricksen, and her second husband, Wilbert S. Hines. Frances worked as a social worker for the American Red Cross and also as an office manager for SC Manpower. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the oldest Sunday School Class at the church. She was also a faithful volunteer with Mobile Meals Services during its formative years. Survivors include her daughter, Mary H. Campbell of Spartanburg; nephews, Robert "Bob" Brown and wife Ann of Greensboro, NC, Roy Bumpass and S. M. Bumpass of FL; niece, Marsha Slane and her husband Jack of High Point, NC; great-nieces, Heath Slane, Landon Slane, and Laura Ellison; great-nephew, Scott Brown; step-children, Patricia Hines Lewis and husband John of Port St. Lucie, FL, and James W. Hines and wife Cynthia of Melbourne, FL; four step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, in the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Steve Holler and the Rev. A. Mickey Fisher, Pastor Emeritus. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
