Frances Gilliam, 91, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, March 2, 2015, at Wesley Court Assisted Living. Born October 19, 1923, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Barm Bobo and Rosa Bell McSwain Gilliam. Frances was a member of Grace Baptist Church-Spartanburg and retired from Christman & Parson General Contractors. Surviving are her brothers and sisters, Charles Gilliam (Lottie) and Edith Burdette, all of Spartanburg, SC, John Vernon Gilliam (Peg) of Redondo Beach, CA, Clara Dillard of Spartanburg, SC, Nathaniel Gilliam of San Pedro, CA, and Jerry Gilliam (Joan) of Boiling Springs, SC; and a large number of nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Boyd Gilliam and Max Gilliam; and sister, Lucille Bridges. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 PM Friday, March 6, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Henry Johnson. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 821 Whitlock Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301. The family is at the home of her brother, Jerry Gilliam, 722 Tinder Box Court, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
