Frances Fargis

Frances Wright Fargis, 95, of 400 Webber Road, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at White Oak Estates. Born June 29, 1914, in Scotland Neck, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Junius and Hilda Steptoe Wright and the wife of the late Edgar Allen Fargis, Sr. She was retired from the Aug W. Smith Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where she was a member of the Young at Heart and a charter member of the Lydia Sunday School Class. Survivors include a son, Edgar A. "Eddie" Fargis, Jr. and his wife Regina of Spartanburg; five grandchildren, Tucker, Alison, Michaela, Liam, and Grayson; and two granddogs, Gladys and Mattie. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Morgan. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Escort will be members of the Lydia Sunday School Class. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P. O.
