Frances Crocker

Frances Lyda Crocker, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022. Born October 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George Nathan and Susan Poole Lyda and was married for 66 years to the late Boyce Wilburn Crocker.

Mrs. Crocker enjoyed cooking and working in the garden. She loved her family deeply and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Martin (Gary) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Cody McDade (Courtney) of Spartanburg, SC, Brandon Martin of Pelzer, SC, and Megan Martin of Pelzer, SC; great grandchildren, Emma Martin and Kayleigh Smith; siblings, Dorothy Vess (Bill) of Spartanburg, SC, Shirley Tinsley (Mike) of Spartanburg, SC, Mary Cline (Ray) of Spartanburg, SC and Harold Lyda of Spartanburg, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by siblings, Marie Pruitt, Willie Mae Gregory and George Lyda.

A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Pastor Eddie Smith, with eulogists, Reese and Ann Byrd. Visitation will follow the service.

The family would like to give special thanks to Deborah Pack and Michelle Griffith for their excellent care of Mrs. Crocker.
