Frances K. Corbin, 102 years of age, of Spartanburg, SC passed away April 16, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was born September 25, 1919, to the late Ernest Lee and Annis Clapp Koonts and married to the late Luther Roy Corbin.
A member at Skylyn United Methodist Church, Frances served in her church in various capacities for over 40 years. She was part of United Methodist Women, Friendship Sunday School Class, and served as secretary with Autumn Leaves. Her greatest love and passion was for her family and extended family, maintaining family unity. Frances cherished the simple things in life with the love for her church and for her family as her highest priority.
Survivors include sons, Gary Wayne Corbin (Donna) of Pacolet, SC and Michael Scott Corbin (Cheryl) of Gramling, SC; granddaughters, Heather Bryant (Jonathan) of Chesnee, SC and Jessica Brooks (Eric) of Inman, SC; step-grandchildren, Matthew Davis (Leigh) of Boiling Springs, SC and April Edwards of Pacolet, SC; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sara Craver of Lexington, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Marie Covington and Harold Koonts; and brother- and sister-in-law Bo and Catherine Corbin.
Visitation will be 12:30 – 1:30 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood- Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 20307.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skylyn United Methodist Church, 1415 Skylyn Dr, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
