Frances Berry

Mary Frances Swofford Berry, 84, of Cowpens, SC, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born February 21, 1934, in Cowpens, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Thomas Swofford and Ruth Sumner Swofford and widow of William J. Berry. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Cowpens. Survivors include her sisters, Peggy Robinson and Joyce Swofford, both of Spartanburg, SC, and Nancy Richards (Bruce) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandson, Devin Ray Berry; five great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Ray Edward Berry; brother, Joe Swofford; and sister, Polly Swofford Bullman. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, December 7, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with a memorial service following at 3:00 PM, conducted by Chaplain Kenneth Apple.
