Floyd Thompson

Floyd Jerome Thompson, 58, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, September 12, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 11, 1963 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Carroll Claude and Mary Ellen Smith Thompson.

Floyd was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, since 2016. He enjoyed taking cruises, being a CNA, 911 operator, photographer, and was a Human Resources Coordinator. He loved spending time with family and children.

Survivors include his partner, Eric Worley of Spartanburg, SC; his sister, Susan Mobley (Dennis) of Gold Hill, NC; and his niece, Sydney Mobley. He was also predeceased by his brother, Ricky Thompson.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 16, 2022 at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 1430 John B. White Sr. Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm, at the church, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Alan Kinsey. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
