Floyd Caldwell

Floyd Ralph Caldwell, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 22, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born December 15, 1924, in Big Pine, NC, he was the son of the late Roy McKinley Caldwell and Lela Griffin Caldwell, and husband of the late Hazel Mahaffey Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Spartan Mills after 52 years of service. Survivors include his children, Vickie Ketner of Arcadia, SC and Ricky Caldwell (Merri) of Roebuck, SC; grandchildren, Byron Caldwell (Tonya) of Boiling Springs, SC, Darren Caldwell (Kortney) of Bristol TN, and Kyle Caldwell of Roebuck, SC; great-granddaughters, Shay Reynolds and Emily Caldwell, both of Boiling Springs, SC; sister and brothers, Myrtle Taylor of Woodruff, SC, Ernest Caldwell of Columbia, TN, Roy Caldwell of Mars Hill, NC, Leonard Caldwell of Piedmont, SC, and Lewis Caldwell of Leicester, NC. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by his sisters, Viola Brown and Nina Julian; and brother, Kennie Caldwell. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Thomas Bryant. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
