Florene Hyatt

Florene Harris Hyatt, 91, of Roebuck, died Monday, January 2, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born August 30, 1920, in the Friendship Community of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Hobson and Pearl Adair Harris, and wife of the late William Charles Hyatt. Mrs. Hyatt was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church since 1938, she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class, choir, and served as a church hostess for several years. She was also employed for 20 years by Spartanburg County District Six. Survivors include her sons, Randall Ray Hyatt and wife Pat of Gaffney and Darryl Keith Hyatt and wife Bonnie of Roebuck; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Franklin of Cross Anchor; and brother, Ernell Harris of Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Roebuck Baptist Church, by Dr. Tim Williams and the Rev. Ondra Black. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
