Florence Bennett

Florence Emma Coggins Bennett, 97, of Spartanburg, SC died Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Born September 24, 1923 in Spartanburg, SC she was the daughter of the late, Irene McCarley and Charley Coggins and widow of William C. Bennett. She was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Terry Bennett of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Elaine Mayfield of Wellford, SC; grandsons, Mark Mayfield (Angela) of Dobson, NC and Lee Mayfield (Ann) of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; great-grandchildren, Madeline Mayfield, William Mayfield, Morgan Mayfield, Luke Mayfield, and Molly Mayfield; sister, Sara Bryson; sister-in-law Jenita Coggins and her wonderful caregiver, Carolyn Jennings. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 conducted by The Rev. Dylan Styles. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
