Flora Mclaughlin

Flora Alverson McLaughlin, 90, of Cowpens, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her home. Born April 14, 1923, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Lemmer Morrow Alverson and wife of the late Warren K. "Mac" McLaughlin. Mrs. McLaughlin was the owner and operator of Adorable Beauty Shop, a member of Eastern Star, and of the Methodist faith. Survivors include daughters, Shelly Thomason of Spartanburg, Beverly Powell of Landrum, and Rebecca Cope of Spartanburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Warren Kenneth McLaughlin, Jr. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Sunset Memorial Park by Pastor Michael McConnell. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family will accept flowers. The family is at their respective homes.
