Flo Edwards Ivey, 83, of 2467 Battleground Road, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 21, 1927 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late J. C. and Clara Mullinax Edwards. She received an Allied Arts Degree from Mars Hill College, a Bachelor of Arts in Education from USC Upstate, and a Registered Nursing degree from North Carolina Baptist School of Nursing. Mrs. Ivey was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she was a longtime Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. Survivors include her husband, Weldon "Bo" Ivey; two daughters, Cathy Ivey of Matthews, NC and Susan Ivey of Huntersville, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Carol Ivey of York, SC; grandchildren, Drew, Gina, and Kyle Ivey of York, SC; three sisters, Claudette Cash of Cowpens, Patsy Edwards of Atlanta, GA, and Brenda Sauders of N. Charleston, SC; and a brother, J. C. Edwards, Jr. of Atlanta, GA. She was predeceased by a sister, Doris Cantrell of Shelby, NC and a brother, Eric Edwards of Cowpens, SC. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Robert W. Kirby, Jr. Burial will be private. Honorary Escort will be the Catherine Gardner Sunday School Class. Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 250 Mt.
