Faye Brown

Faye Bryant Howell Brown, 83, of Pacolet, SC, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at her home. Born June 30, 1930, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Furman and Mae Belle Whiting Bryant. Mrs. Brown was retired from Spartanburg Eye Clinic and was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Surviving are her loving husband of 10 years, Oliver Clay "O. C." Brown; children, Christy Guyton (Bobby) and David Howell (Sherry), all of Pacolet, SC; grandchildren, Lauren Blanton (Josh) of Pacolet, SC, Lindsay Yelverton (Matt) of Charleston, SC, and Brooks Guyton (Lisa) of Flat Rock, NC; great-grandchildren, Liesl and Hadley Yelverton of Charleston, SC, and Eli Blanton of Pacolet, SC; brother, Donnie Bryant (Linda) of Summerville, SC; stepchildren, Lynn Byars (Rick) and Allen Brown (Ruth Ann), all of Pacolet, SC; brother-in-law, Jimmy Hodge. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Jimmy Howell; and sister, Ruth Hodge. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 PM Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church, 350 Green Street, Pacolet Mills, SC 29373. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Ralph Jett and the Rev. Norman Band. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372.
