Fairy Davis "Mickey" Moore, 90, went gently and gladly into eternal life and peace on Saturday afternoon, September 4, 2010. Born December 1, 1919, in Old Fort, NC, she was a daughter of the late Bluford Z. and Ora Davis and wife for 49 years to the late Ernest Edward Moore. She was an active member of Drayton Baptist Church, serving as a Vacation Bible School leader, church co-hostess, and prayer chairman for her WMU circle. She will be fondly remembered for her baking as enjoyed by the "Three R's" retirement group and her church. A resident of White Oak Estates, she was known for her ever-present smile, quick wit, and her crocheting and quilting talents. Survivors include a daughter, Sherree M. Brady of Charlotte, NC; a son, Larry E. Moore and wife Ann of Spartanburg; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth H. Moore of Charleston, SC. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Steve M. Brady; a sister, Ada Davis; and two brothers, Houston and Uyette Davis. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Barry Snead and the Rev. Randell D. Blackman, Sr. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
