F. Painter

F. Edward Painter, 61, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. Born, May 22, 1948 in Spartanburg, he was the son of Roberta Taylor Painter and the late G. F. Painter and the husband of the late Elsie Swygert Painter. He was a partner of Painter Wholesale and retired from Central Locater Services LTD. He was a member of Beaumont United Methodist Church. He was a life member and past Master of Calhoun Masonic Lodge in Pauline, he was a York Rite Mason, Hejaz Shrine Temple and Past President of Woodruff Shrine Club. Surviving along with his mother is a daughter, Julie P. Ashe of Spartanburg; a sister, Annette P. Davenport of Spartanburg; a step-daughter Annette Goodyear of Leesville, SC; a grandson, Colby Ashe; a granddaughter Carlee Ashe; a step-granddaughter Jessica Goodyear; a niece, Lynn H. Davis and a great-nephew Tyler Burgess. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. F. Ed Traxler Jr.. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
