Exie Cooley

Exie Virginia Kimbrell Cooley, 91, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Magnolia Place, Greenville, SC. Born July 25, 1920, in Fingerville, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Roey Smith Kimbrell, and wife of the late William J. Cooley, Sr. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and retired from Fairforest Finishing. Surviving are two sons, Joseph C. Cooley and wife Barbara of Inman and William J. "Sonny" Cooley, Jr. and wife Diane of Anderson; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Martha Derrick; and a granddaughter, Summer Jane Derrick. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Pastor Wally Winner. Visitation will follow the service.
