Evie Allison

Evie Petty Allison, 92, of Pacolet and a resident of Skylyn Place, Spartanburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Skylyn Place. Born December 17, 1917 in Pacolet, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie L. and Ada Brown Petty and the wife of the late William Odell Allison. She was a member of Pacolet United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Ladies Sunday School Class. Survivors include a son, Larry O. Allison and wife Jennie of Waterloo, SC; a daughter, Barbara A. Barker and husband Steve of Pacolet; a brother, Ray Petty of Pacolet; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah P. Johnson and two brothers, Walter Petty and Fred Petty. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Patricia McCain and the Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff at Skylyn Place for all their love and care during her time as a resident. The family is at their respective homes.
