Everette Turner Bedsworth met his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ on September 12, 2021. A native of Exmore, VA, Everette was the son of the late William Leonard Bedsworth and Marie Turner Bedsworth.
A US Army veteran, Mr. Bedsworth was a Korean War Veteran and was employed by the Naval Shipyard and Suffolk Collection Bureau. He enjoyed cooking for his family and was active in his church and with the local Korean War Veterans Club. He also enjoyed many travels in both the US and internationally. Everette was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.
Everette is survived by his wife, Marilyn Bedsworth, his sons, Kevin (Carol) and Kerry Bedsworth, his daughter, Kara Merrill (Bill), and stepdaughter, Michelle Champion (Tim), grandchildren, Brooke Mack (TJ), Summer Merrill, Alan Bedsworth, great grandchildren, Meredith Mack, Henry Mack, and Pippa Mack. Extended family, Daniel Sides, Katie Sides, Ashley Sides, Faith Sides and Luke Sides. Everette was predeceased by a son, Everette Bedsworth Jr, his brothers, Harry Bedsworth and Edmond Bedsworth, and sisters. Emily Sims and Marie Old.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Jacob Williams. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Everette's memory to White Plains Baptist Church 206 Soap Stone Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.
