Evelyn Scott

Evelyn Palmer Scott, 77, of 106 Canaan Road died Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born November 27, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Millage C. and Eva Mae Darby Palmer. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Joe Baber Scott; three sons, Larry Scott and his wife Ann of Boiling Springs, Gary Scott and his fiance Donna Franklin of Spartanburg, and Glenn Scott and his wife Terri of Greer; a daughter, Lynn Ferguson and her husband Paul of Spartanburg; six grandchildren, Jeffery, Michael, Ryan, Amanda, Kelli Thrash, and Kathy Sherrer; and ten great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Bill Harris.
