Evelyn Martin

Evelyn Trent Martin, 92, of Pacolet Mills, SC, died Friday, September 25, 2015 at her home. Born July 13, 1923, in Pacolet Mills, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walter B. Trent and Mamie Sawyer Trent, and widow of George W. "Jack" Martin. Mrs. Martin was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church, the Annette Greene Sunday School Class, and Senior Ministries. Survivors include her son, Trent Martin (Rachel) of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughters, Christy Goodman (Mike) of Mapleton, OR, Candie Vassey (Chris) of Woodruff, SC, Billie McKelvey, and Cindy Treadwell both of Spartanburg, SC; and great-grandchildren, David McKelvey, Ashley McKelvey, Lorrie Treadwell, Lanie Treadwell and Christopher Vassey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, William D. Trent (Shug) and sister-in-law, Betty M. Trent. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:45 AM on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Pacolet Mills Baptist Church, 385 Stone Street, Pacolet, SC 29372, with services following at 11:00 AM conducted by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be held in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372.
