Evelyn Jones

Evelyn Lee R. Jones, 68, of Chesnee, SC, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born June 7, 1946, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lee and Nannie Million Ridings. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Faith Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are her beloved husband of 53 years, Sam Donald Dean Jones Sr.; children, Don Jones Jr. (Lisa) and Linda Jones Thomas all of Chesnee, SC, Clarence Lee "C. L." Jones (Alicia) and Cindy Jones Cantrell (Kenneth) all of Spartanburg, SC; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Hughy of Boiling Springs, SC. She was predeceased by her brothers, Stanley "Red" Collins and Harold Collins Sr. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Chapel, conducted by Dr. E. Jennings Putnam and the Rev. Kenneth Cash. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
