Evelyn Hill

Evelyn Patricia Dover Hill, 78, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at her home. Born August 17, 1935, in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Charles and Pearl Hill Dover and widow of Roy Hill. Mrs. Hill was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church and retired from Mettler-Toledo, Inc. after 20 years of service. Among survivors are her granddaughter, Jessica Bailey of Spartanburg, SC; and sisters, Ruth Loftis (Dewey) and Margaret Smith, all of Inman, SC, and Ola Morris of Wellford, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Randy James Bailey; sister, Annie Mae Hall; and brothers, Harold Dover and Leonard Dover. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 PM Friday, April 11, 2014, at Lake Bowen Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Williams. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Lake Bowen Baptist Church, 404 Sugar Ridge Road, Inman, SC 29349. The family is at their respective homes.
