Evelyn Harrison

Evelyn Fowler Harrison, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Skylyn Place. Born April 12, 1916, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Arizona Utah and Cora Lee Sumerel Fowler and the wife of the late John Elbert Harrison. She was retired from Flower's Bakery and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, Delane Johnson of Spartanburg; a sister, Mildred McClellan of Spartanburg; a special caregiver, Linda Tucker; two grandchildren, Jim and David Johnson; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Alfred and Harold Fowler. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Joe Dempsey and Mr. Steve McClellan. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to a favorite hospice or charity.
