Evelyn Beatrice Melton Crocker Fowler, 62, of Gaffney, SC, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 2, 1951, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Lee and Mildred Jolley Melton. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of Clifton Second Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Tabitha Riddle (Curtis) of Spartanburg, SC; step-children, Robert W. Crocker and Angela C. Fain (Darrell), all of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan B. Fain (Brittany), Tyler Crocker, Jeb Thomas Lawson, and Jodi Lawson; great-grandson, Colton B. Fain; brothers and sisters, Robert "Bobby" Melton (Brenda) of Dacusville, SC, Kenneth "Glenn" Melton of Chester, GA, Patricia Thomas of Gaffney, SC, and Juanita Barnett of Boiling Springs, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Ann Chitwood and Janet Melton; and brother, Gary Melton. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 PM Monday, June 9, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Michael Stubblefield. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Clifton Second Baptist Church, 5045 Clifton Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at their respective homes.
