Evelyn Brown

Evelyn Springfield Brown, 92, of 508 Gaston Drive, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Camp Care in Inman. Born December 22, 1917 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Morris F. and Mary Crow Springfield. She was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include a niece, Debra Lynn Mathis of Spartanburg; and a nephew, Ed Mathis and wife Charlene of Albuquerque, NM. She was predeceased by a son, Landrum De Foix Brown; a sister, Juanita Mathis; and a brother, Morris Springfield, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Fernwood Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev.
