Evelyn Brookshire

Evelyn L. Brookshire, 77, of Gaffney, SC, passed Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center-Knoxville, TN. Born May 23, 1938, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Beadie Gosnell Owens and widow of Bobby L. Brookshire. Mrs. Brookshire was a member of North Spartanburg Church of God and employed with Service America. Surviving are her children, Sheeree Donaldson (Alexander) of Gaffney, SC, Terry Lee Brookshire (Pamela) of Tennessee, and Kevin Scott Brookshire of Chesnee, SC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Mary White of Gaffney, SC; and brothers, Kenneth Edward Owens of Inman, SC and David Owens of Arcadia, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Temple. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by her grandson, Pastor Mike Edens.
