Evelyn Smith

Evelyn Ann Smith, 76, of Lyman, SC, died Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born February 10, 1946 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Archie H. Nelson, Sr. and Ethel Stephens Sellars.

Evelyn was a faithful member of Tucapau Baptist Church where she was the church secretary for almost 30 years.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Paul E. Smith of the home; son, Allen Smith (Melissa) of Lexington, SC; daughter, Paula S. Leonard (Robert) of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Matthew Smith (Shannon), Madison S. Beumer (Jordan), Bradley Leonard, and Derek Leonard; and great grandson, Waylon Henry Smith.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2023 at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Craig D. Guy. Burial will follow in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369.
