Surrounded by family, Eric Evan Lindsay, 58, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born September 13, 1956, in Fort Walton Beach, FL, he was the son of the late Dr. Bryan Eugene Lindsay and Mary Ray Moore Lindsay. Evan was a great father, brother, and uncle with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a crossword enthusiast- "In a perfect world, his obituary would be a crossword puzzle." He enjoyed golf, Clemson football, fantasy football, and loved his job of 15 plus years with Bradshaw Acura in Greenville, SC. He received his Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Clemson University. Surviving are his son, Eric Hayston Lindsay and his wife Lindsay Cook of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Christy Toney of Spartanburg, SC, Alyson Lofé of Niceville, FL and Tracey Nettles-Miller of Anderson, SC; brother, Dr. Jason Lindsay (Stephanie) of Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Bill Lofé, Matthew, Jonathan, and Patrick Toney, and James Lindsay; nieces Mallory Lofé Griffin, Lindsay Nettles, and Audrey Lindsay; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and Hayston's mother, Carol Traynham. Private family services will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Evan. The family is at their respective homes.
