Eva Pruitt Faulkner, 92, widow of James Clayton Faulkner, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. A native of Spartanburg County, she was born July 2, 1921, the daughter of the late James Henry and Mary Crowder Pruitt. She was a member of Arkwright Baptist Church, loved the Lord and served him daily. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Also, she was a very special great-great grandmother and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include one son, James H. Faulkner and daughter-in-law Dianne of Roebuck, SC; four grandchildren, Jamie Faulkner, Travis Faulkner (Kristin), Jason Faulkner, all of Roebuck, SC, and Lisa Kirkman of Anderson, SC (she helped rear Jamie and Lisa in her home); eight great-grandchildren, Eva Grace Kirkman, Jameson, Kaitlyn, Raleigh, Kelsey, Kalli, Klaycie, and Luke Travis Faulkner. She was also excited to find out that another great-granddaughter will arrive in August. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Jones and Leila Williams; four brothers, Alonzo, Coin, William, and Norman Pruitt. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with the Rev. James Blackwood officiating.
