Eva Mae Pye Bishop, 100, of Roebuck, SC, died Monday, March 14, 2016, at her home. Born July 25, 1915, in Chesnee, SC, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Wall Pye and widow of Walter Warren Bishop. She was the last surviving member of her family of 12 children. Mrs. Bishop was the oldest member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Bible Class. She retired from Spartan Undies after 25 years of service, loved cooking, and was well known for her cakes and apple turnovers. Survivors include her sons, J. D. Bishop (Judy) of Spartanburg, SC and Charles Bishop (Mildred) of Inman, SC; two grandchildren, Jamie Bishop of Spartanburg, SC and Teresa Pazur (Scott) of Greensboro, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Katie Pazur, Emily Pazur, and Maggie Pazur. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Ruby Lee Quinn; and grandson, Johnny Quinn. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374, with services following at 2:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Greg Butler and the Rev. Charles Eaton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 220, Pauline, SC 29374.
