Eunice Pierce

Eunice Mildredge Lee Pierce, 85, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to her Savior Jesus Christ, and the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, the late Robert M. Pierce, Sr., on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Agape Senior Assisted Living, West Columbia, SC. Born March 1, 1928, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Hilliard Lee and Katie Gentry Lee. Mrs. Pierce graduated from Pacolet High School and Columbia Commercial College. She was retired from Milliken & Company and Spartanburg Community College. A longtime member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, she served in many capacities including Sunday School teacher, president of the United Methodist Women, member of the Official Board, and sang in the choir. Mrs. Pierce was also a charter member of the Rosewood Garden Club. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Craig Lee Pierce and wife Deborah of Chapin, SC, Robert Maxwell Pierce, Jr. and wife Amanda of W. Columbia, SC, and Robin Pierce Kendrick and husband Michael of Spartanburg, SC; three grandsons, Cameron Pierce, Cole Pierce, and Wells Pierce; very special "friends and loved ones", Ping and Betty Toney, Coleen Smith, Yvonne Littlefield, Mickie Pedigrew, Judy Rogers, and Bob and Doris Gettys. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Agape Senior Living in West Columbia for the love and care they have shown our mother. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 PM Friday, November 29, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by Chaplain Yo Fong Chong and the Rev. Janice King. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
