Eulaine Church Dockery Vannoy, 77, of 27 Forest Oaks Way, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 20, 1932, in North Wilkesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ruff H. and Ella Church Dockery and step-daughter of the late Edith Dockery. She was a 1950 graduate of Millers Creek High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where she was a member of the Al Martin Sunday School Class and Young at Heart. Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bob" Glenn Vannoy, Jr.; a son, Robert G. Vannoy and his wife Miriam of Spartanburg; a daughter, Kimberly Fisher and her husband Michael of Weaverville, NC; four grandchildren, Brady Vannoy and his wife Cynthia, Natalie Vannoy, Emily Vannoy, and Erin Vannoy; and two half-sisters, Pat Bumgarner and Kaye Davis, both of Millers Creek, NC. She was predeceased by a sister, Marlene Moore. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009, in the Church Parlor at the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Davis Chapel at the Church conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Morgan and the Rev. Bill Adams.
