Eugenia Fowler

Eugenia "Jean" Scruggs Fowler, 86, of Greenville, formerly of 718 Southern Street, Spartanburg, died Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Magnolia Place-Greenville. Born October 5, 1925, in Caroleen, NC, she was widow of Walter B. Fowler, and daughter of the late Roy Lee and Sara Evelyn Roberts Scruggs. Mrs. Fowler was a fashion coordinator/buyer for Belks and Dillards Department Stores, a member of North Spartanburg Church of God, and enjoyed sewing and gardening. Surviving are her daughters, Judy Foster and husband Harry of Inman, SC, and Deena Shelly of Port Richie, FL; four grandchildren, Stephen E. Foster of Boiling Springs, SC, Cherie A. Lanzetti of Inman, SC, Mark S. Foster of Inman, SC, and Gina Quinton of Port Richie, FL; three great grandsons, Christian Foster of Inman, SC, Kyle Quinton and Justin Quinton, both of Port Richie, FL; six great-granddaughters, Jacqueline E. Wallace of Spartanburg, SC, Elena J. Lanzetti and Eliah G. Lanzetti, both of Inman, SC, Danielle J. Foster and Judy K. Foster, both of Boiling Springs, SC, and Chloe A. Foster of Inman, SC; a sister, Marjorie Lee Sprouse of Clinton, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, by the Rev. Richard E. Porterfield and Bishop Larry Flippo. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the home of Judy and Harry Foster.
