Eugene William Greenway, 71, of Inman, SC, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at MUSC-Charleston. Born September 6, 1942, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas William and Lillian Irene Hawkins Greenway. Mr. Greenway loved to work with wood, especially building toys for his grandchildren. He was a brick mason by trade, he worked in the textile industry for over 40 years, and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his cherished wife, Iris Ann Kirby Greenway; children, Ricky Eugene Greenway, Tammy Gilliam (Randall), Lori Lancaster (Jason), all of Spartanburg, SC, and John Littlefield of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren, Ricky, Brandy, Madison, Caroline, Samuel, and Sarah; and four brothers, Charles Greenway, Donald Greenway (Johannah), Gary Greenway (Faye), and David Greenway (Vickie). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Greenway. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2013, in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by the Rev. Sammy Sutton. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
