Estelle Smith

Estelle O'Shields Smith, 87, of Pauline, SC died Saturday, October 31, 2015. Born September 24, 1928 in the Walnut Grove Community, she was the daughter of the late Enoch Clifford and Annie Belle Vice O'Shields and was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter Boyd Smith, and a daughter, Linda Jean Smith. Mrs. Smith was retired from the U. S. Postal Service with 33 years, 18 years as the Postmaster of the Pauline Post Office and then worked at Carolina Cash Company on Union Street. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School class. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Smith and his wife, Fran; Doug Smith and his wife, Patricia; Jerry Smith and his wife, Sheila all of whom are from Pauline; eight grandchildren, Jeff Smith, Nikki Smith, Daniel Humphries, Bryan Humphries, Angie S. Price, Lyndsey Smith, Bryson Smith and Meredith Smith; nine great grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith, Halie-Ann Smith, McKenzie Humphries, Mary Alice Humphries, Emily King, Dillon Price, Hailey Price, Hannah Price and Abby Price; great great granddaughter, Selah King; and a brother, Wade Hampton O'Shields of Brian, Texas. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Sanctuary, 3119 Hwy. 56 Pauline, SC 29374. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Greg Butler and Rev. Charles Eaton. Burial will be in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
